Morally Corrupt by Veronica Lancet

4.0

Morally Corrupt is a book full of intrigue and suspense. When you think you know what’s going on, you soon find out that not everything or everyone is at it seems. This book is full twists and turns that left me wanting more. I couldn’t put this book down until I knew how it ended.

I loved Bianca and Adrian/Theo! Bianca knew exactly what she wanted and was not afraid to do whatever she could to make it happen. While her methods at times were questionable, I never once doubted the depths she would go to for Adrian. She’s a quirky, fierce assassin and I was immediately drawn to her.

Adrian is a complicated character. He is fiercely protective of his sweet and shy Bianca. When he finds out the truth about his demure wife his immediate reaction is to cut all ties with her. But when circumstances change, he soon realizes that he can’t kick her to the curb. She is his wife, his everything. He also has his secrets and he does not own the moral high ground that he portrays to the outside world.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. The plot and world building were fantastic. The character development was outstanding. I was drawn in with the main characters but with the secondary characters, especially Vlad and Marcel. I want to know more about them and their backstory. Hopefully, their stories will be coming soon.

Veronica Lancet is a new author for me and I’m so glad I found her. I loved her attention to detail and how she brought Bianca and Theo to life. I can’t wait to read more from this author.

I receive an advanced reader copy for this book and am voluntarily leaving my honest review.
