I love a weird girl book. This wasn’t as weird as I was expecting, but I still enjoyed it a lot. It reminded me a lot of Convenience Store Woman and I could definitely relate to the story it told. The writing was really good and it was translated well. I liked the way it was told in parts and the pace was good. The parts in italics were interesting and added a lot to the story. It was like having two stories or timelines in one. There were times where I was a little confused about what was going on. The mystery (?) of what happened when the main character was younger really intriguing and I loved that part. The narrative voice was amazing. It was a great representation of a young woman struggling in day to day life. Her paranoia was well written and I could feel her spiralling. The printer was a fun character. The part from his perspective was actually really good - it made me think a lot and it was so unique. I loved the social commentary on wealth, class, the workplace and misogyny. There wasn’t too much going on plot wise - I enjoyed following the characters journey though. It definitely made me think a lot which I think was what it wanted to do. It could have been weirder or had more big moments. It was a quiet book and I liked it a lot.
