Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban - Ravenclaw Edition by J.K. Rowling

5.0

This is my favourite book in the series, as it is for many people I think. The first two books will always be somewhat nostalgic for me but there are not books I can pick up and dip right back into. In fact, whenever I do get the itch to re-read Harry Potter, I either read only a handful of chapters from the first two or skip them altogether. Azkaban is the book where I really became invested and Rowling really came into her writing, style and plot wise. This book had the right amount of plot and character development without smothering us with exposition, it retained a lot of Rowling's humour, which I felt sadly ebbed away in the later books.
