Admittedly, it takes a lot to hold my attention in pandemic times, quarantining in my tiny apartment. This was a beautiful read, but I found myself facing the library return date, & was compelled to return it before I could finish. As gorgeous as the prose was, the stakes were wildly tamped down in this dangerous, intriguing environment. I wanted to be engrossed in these melancholic wanderings, but found myself wanting more.
