I was expecting a scary horror when I picked this up but really it’s about love and grief, with albeit an unsettling feeling in the background.
There is some body horror elements but not too much. It made me think of how you can lose someone before you lose them; like with something like Alzheimers you lose the person they were long before you lose them physically.
I loved this book, loved the story, the imagery and the strength of Miri and Leah’s relationship. I didn’t want it to end.
