Behind Closed Doors by B.A. Paris

5.0

Type of read: Commuter Read.

What made me pick it up: I saw this one either on a Goodreads list or suggested to me through my library app and both the description was spot on to my interests.

Overall rating: Whoa...this one...absolute 10/10! 'Behind Closed Doors' surprised me so much! This was one that was recommended in one of the lists or apps that I have and honestly, it was the perfect mix of suspense and suburban housewife. I would say some parts are a little predictable, but nothing hugely so. There were many times that I physically recoiled from the descriptions and audibly gasped along with the narrative. That's when I know it was a well-written book. I would 100% recommend 'Behind Closed Doors' to those who could stomach the subject matter and I will absolutely be reading more by B.A. Paris in the future.

Reader's Note: 'Behind Closed Doors' is heavy with the mental and emotional abuse. There are also mentions and illuding to physical abuse and violence. Descriptions are used in all instances of mental, physical, and emotional abuse. There are also detailed descriptions of violent, sometimes deadly, actions.
