Fox: Hel's Ink Book One by DJ Krimmer
5.0
I ate this up. 10/10 would recommend.
TW’s include; loss of a loved one, grief, mention of childhood abuse, mention of spousal abuse and a few others.
This book caught me from the start and held me until the end, I quite literally didn’t put it down and read it all day in between being a mom.
Fox, hells ink
Is book 1 in a new series featuring the classic trope grumpy sunshine/ age gap, enemies to lovers.
Fox is in his 40’s while Janie is 26. It’s a 17yr age gap.
Janie’s father passes away, leaving the tattoo shop/ business to Janie whom agrees to let Fox buy out her half of the rights after 1 year.
Fox who’s worked for Janie’s father for nearly two decades as a tattoo artist gets distraught when he finds out there’s a twist in the plan, Janie won’t be staying out of his hair for a year.
No instead, she plans to co run it.
When tension flys between them, secrets come out and soon they find themselves throwing more than just witty banter at each other.
“I tried to politely remind her that having a cat in a tattoo shop would be against health codes. She then reminded me that me fucking her on the table was also against health codes and that if I found Winston to be so filthy, I must find her filthy too and she wouldn’t want to “spread the filth” at Hel’s. “
Defiantly something for your TBR.
At one point my husband looked over and said “are you crying?”
