The Familiar by Leigh Bardugo
Did not finish book. Stopped at 0%.
DNF, I lost my patience. This is has too many similarities to book 1 of throne of glass and that is not a compliment.
Luzia is boring as hell, and never felt any sort of anything towards her. There’s no consistency or continuity in any of the characters… I get having twists and reveals, but all the characters kept pivoting ungracefully between good and bad without any explanation. The trials were underwhelming. The weird romance that intrudes halfway through is weird and cringey… Also her magic goes from tiny things to teleportation…? I’m just so confused… this was all over the place. Not for me.
