Educating Rita by Willy Russell

5.0

i adored this play. it was hilarious, it was heartbreaking, it was transcendent.

i love both rita and frank.
i loved rita’s growth as a strong, independent woman, and frank’s character was so interesting. he was unlikeable at times, but clearly a damaged character who used alcohol to deal with feelings of inadequacy in his relationships, and as a scholar and poet.
