I want to start this review by noting I have only read part 1 so far. Once I have read part 2, I will look back at my review and adjust it if necessary.

At first, the world dazzled me. I was confused the first maybe 100 pages? But, once I started understanding parts of the world and started connecting with characters, this book hooked me and didn’t let me go.
So far I really like Kaladin. His story is interesting and I want to know more. The foreshadowing that was done in part one, makes me excited to read about his journey in part two.

Shallan could be an interesting character, but in her part Jasnah was the one that really interested me. I’m curious to how that will develop.

I have very mixed feelings about Adolin. I see how he can be a valuable character, but his way of “dealing” with women and how this is made a quirky character trait doesn’t sit right with me. He is my least favourite character for now.

I also want to know more about Szeth and I assume I will learn more as I go.

All in all I really enjoyed reading this book and am looking forward to reading more!
