Alan Gorevan is my favourite of all the authors I've discovered this year. An enviably good storyteller, his work is consistently brilliant. "Hit and Run" is as compulsively readable as I've come to expect, shot through with moments of great humour. The reader is effortlessly swept away by Gorevan's fast-paced plots, the tension continually building as things go from bad to worse. His characterisation is spot on. This book is a relatively quick read and I loved every second!
