Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas
5.0
Oh, wow. This is fantastic.
With all the reviews I read - and even one from Rick Riordan himself - that's saying much since I expected a lot from it.
I'm pretty excited and ecstatic that this is only the first book to a series, which means I just found another string of books that looks to be worth reading. I just hope it only gets better with each book unlike some series that does the opposite.
After reading Throne of Glass, Celaena is now fighting to also be my Champion - the top spot for my favorite female protagonist - and she's winning. Her wit, strength, and sass are just too fun and delicious to read. How could I not love her when I like my female leads smart, strong, and independent? She even likes books and dogs and yet can hold herself with a sword! A bow! A candlestick! I mean, come on!! Total overkill!
It's the last day of the year today, and as I write this down, it dawned on me that discovering the land of Erilea was a great way to end the year.
