Chaos: Charles Manson, the CIA, and the Secret History of the Sixties by Tom O'Neill

2.0

2 1/2 stars rounded down…this book was just okay. At first I was into it, and buying some of what the author was suggesting, but about halfway through I felt like I was watching that scene in “It’s Always Sunny” where Charlie tries to explain Pepe Silvia. It went a bit off the deep end, and I went from “Yeah this is plausible,” or “…wait, you think WHAT?” And then suddenly it just ended abruptly, with no explanation of how all these things O’Neill had explored connected. I’d be more interested is O’Neill would have been a bit more focused or at least given a recap at the end showing hos all these rabbit trails connected to one thing. Overall it was interesting but very hard to follow.
