I was in desperate need of a book that was magical, heartwarming, and engaging and REWITCHED delivered! Belle is a witch who works in a bookshop, hides her magic from her non-wicche friends, and doesn’t make use of her powers often. When Belle’s coven summons her on her thirtieth birthday to test her magical worth, she fails but is given a second chance to prove herself. Belle is assigned a mentor with a dark past and a handsome watchman but once she begins to flourish, someone starts sabotaging her work. This was a cozy, light fantasy novel with slow-burn romance, mild action, and a dash of mystery. The characters were so caring and lovable, especially Belle’s elderly mentor Arty. Wood beautifully incorporates themes of self-discovery, found family, and coming of age in your thirties. It’s cozy and enchanting—a big warm hug in book form. Highly recommend!
