Such a brilliant audiobook, Andy Serkis has done a fabulous job bringing the characters to life each with their own voices. The Tom Bombadil chapters were particularly joyful.

I could rave about this audiobook forever but I just love love the way Andy Serkis has made an already brilliant story even better.

Some things I love and random thoughts:
-Tom Bombadil
-The songs. I’ve seen reviews saying people don’t like all the songs in the book but I’ve always loved them.
-The Hobbits. It’s interesting to me that Merry and Pippin are more serious and well respected than they are in the films.
-Sam’s reaction to Frodo leaving the Fellowship at the end :’)
-Legolas and Gimli spending loads of time alone together in Lothlorien?? They’re married and I love them

Can’t wait to listen to the rest of the series as read by Andy Serkis, has to be the ultimate comfort series.
