Grace & Style: The Art of Pretending You Have It by Grace Helbig

2.0

In all fairness, the majority of this book was very true to Grace's character and I enjoyed the majority of it. The pictures were great, her style tips were funny or good (although sometimes repetitive) and it was an enjoyable read for a Grace Helbig fan to find out more about her and her experiences.

That being said, the Sweatpants Diaries made it feel like I suffered through this book. Without these sections, this book would have been great for any Helbig fan. However, the Sweatpants Diaries were a Toy Story-esque tale about a pair of Sweatpants that wanted to stage an uprising at the mall on Black Friday and is essentially a story about how they ended up in Grace's closet... but with many chapters of talking clothing items and horrible puns. It was painful.

This looks like an excellent coffee table book. The contents are questionable. Save your time and skip over the Sweatpants Diaries and you might actually enjoy it.
