i couldn’t finish it. i am simply too educated and intelligent to enjoy this mess of a book. perhaps if you were male-centered and have no self-esteem, you would find jeremy to be someone worth loving. to me, he is nothing but a vertically challenged, manipulative male.

i don’t know how anyone could be around jeremy and not fantasize about giving him a right hook every three days. he is simply revolting to me. the way he coerced emmeline and everyone around her like a pawn to be moved around to his penis’s desire disgusted me. 

i don’t see him ever falling for emmeline genuinely. he only loved emmeline because she was fat and that was it. i wish there was more to his attraction; after reading some reviews, i know i am 100% right. 

and emmeline, my god emmeline. you have got to be stupidest woman i’ve ever seen. how did you let yourself being ensnared into jeremy’s web so, so easily after he humiliated you like that? you’re not 18 anymore, emmeline. you’re 28, pushing 30. this kind of stupidity? lack of dignity? it should be beneath you. how disappointing.
