While I enjoyed the characters, to a point, and the story, to a point, it was pretty shallow all around. The mystery surrounding the death of Rose was well done, and kept me wondering (wrongly) until the end, but it wasn’t enough to save the trite ending and lack of depth in the story as a whole.
