The Kingmaker's Daughter by Philippa Gregory
3.0
I fully admit that I loved the White Queen (both the novel and the TV series). It’s hard not to find yourself enchanted by Elizabeth Woodville. Gregory does a good job in this novel of trying to sew discord in the mind of those who loved the White Queen - although I still found myself thinking “you’re being paranoid” to both George, Isabel, and Anne.
She clearly shows Anne Neville’s development from pawn to confident and calculating woman. I found the writing significantly better than the Red Queen although Gregory does sometimes fall into her familiar trap of drawing events out too long.
