Five Reasons That Bound Is Better Than Now and Then
1. Kate is wonderfully vulnerable and spunky. Life has dealt her a pretty crappy hand, but she keeps going. Emma, on the other hand, has no spine and no self-confidence. She is too scared to stand up to her older sister or actually tell her the truth so she hides behind lies like a kid.
2. Ryke is strong, considerate, and ridiculously sweet. I can't even hold playing hockey against him because he makes it sound so good. Cole has no personality and really nothing that endears him to me, just a tortured family secret that feels cliche.
3. Kate and Ryke's romance is slow-building and based on trust. Emma and Cole see each other again for the first time in years and fixate each other.
4. Kate's family and friends were supportive and enjoyable. Emma's family only seem to exist to make her life harder.
5. Because I said so and I'm out of good reasons!
