Last Night at the Telegraph Club by Malinda Lo

I had very high expectations for this book, but it unfortunately did not reach them, at least not completely. I liked it, but it was slow to begin, and the ending feels rushed, and I feel like there is a lot that was left unexplained (maybe it was done purposefully). Overall, it was a nice novel, and it did a good job, I think, retracing the history of Chinese Americans (especially in times where their existence in the US was so "controversial", polemical) and the importance of queer women of color through time. Lily Hu is a rather complex character but, she is one I can say I loved, I just wish we knew more about how she deals with her identity, as a whole.
However, I do recommend it for anyone who loves historical fiction, and anyone who loves to see intersectionality well done.
