The Fellowship of the Ring by J.R.R. Tolkien

5.0

Among the books of the Lord of The Rings, The Fellowship reminds me of the Hobbit the most, and I say that quite happy! Less invested in big battles, our heroes are still fresh and green like the lands they leave behind, as they embark on a journey towards the realms of the elves, and then, one of grand self-actualization. But while The Hobbit was a children's book, The Lord of Rings offers a little bit more of flexibility in how it depicts the scale and magnitude of the world that Tolkien created.

You can see the "hero's path" journey model be left behind by the end and get substituted by the more "epic" scale, so frequent and taken for granted nowadays, but exceptionally rare at the time Tolkien wrote this.
