1st reread (30/12/22)

still obsessed with the butterfly scene, still relating waaay too much to paul (help), and now that i'm rewatching hannibal i caught some connections that made me a little bit insane during this reread ngl

this book's amazing, especially for a debut, but even though i'll maintain my 5 stars rating i think that it'd actually sit at a 4 stars at the moment. the pacing's a little bit too slow at some points, which is the point but nothing in those parts truly justifies how slow it gets, and i wish there was more drama in it, i guess? maybe some romantic cannibalism (but that's probably just my hannibal brainrot speaking)
