Dezirae didn’t get all the details before Chance/CJ slid her panties to the side again years later, and now she’s stuck between a rock and a hard place. I adore when the MMC is down bad for his love interest–even if his actions feel a little manipulative, and this didn’t disappoint. The plot was fast-paced and by the halfway mark had transitioned from a romance to a lowkey thriller that kept me on my toes waiting to see how far the characters would go for love and money–even though it fell off near the end.
