Frenemies by Emma Hart

4.0

this was honestly everything i needed to get out of the little reading slump i'd fallen into!! enemies to lovers is arguably one of my absolute favourite tropes and the banter between imogen and mason was honestly top tier stuff.

i really loved how well the love story was woven into the day to day lives of the characters - even though it wasn't super plot heavy, it was exactly what was needed to make the relationship feel organic and real. i loved how both mason and immy's POVs were written to make it clear that there would be a HEA but it would be done in a way that saw real emotional growth and character development.

the only thing i wish had happened was a bit more about maya - i wanted to see her and immy interact more because while it was addressed at the very end how immy and mason getting involved would affect maya, i think i would have liked to see a little more of them interacting and really realising how it would work out long term, if only for more cute and wholesome baby baiting scenes!

im really glad i stumbled upon this book and can't wait to read hannah's story - i have a feeling im going to be swooning over isaac in no time!!
