This book is an instant favourite.
It is so, so good. I am at a loss for words to explain how good it is.
Much like the rest of the books in this series, the real story is not what you think the story is, and you don't learn the actual story until the second half of the book. The biggest difference is that we don't have an unreliable narrator so much as a narrator who just isn't in the loop, but that is so fun. It keeps the series fresh by adding an extra level to the story. We aren't in the loop with the narrator, but we also know more than the narrator!
I also loved getting to know these characters better and from a different perspective. We are introduced to one of my favourite characters in the series! We also get so much more political intrigue in this book, which is a lot of fun too.
It's just so good. I could talk about how much I loved this book for hours. Everyone read it.
