I don’t even really have words for this book. From the very first page, I knew I was going to adore the story and the writing, and that feeling continued for the rest of the book.
The diversity was unlike anything I’ve really read before, and I loved it. We got to experience so many different pronouns, expressions of gender and sexuality, race, religion, trauma, neurodiversity, and everything in between. Each character was so so unique and wonderfully written, and they all worked perfectly together.
The story itself was so complex but explained in an understandable way. It incorporated recognisable elements of our reality along with horror and apocalypse, and honestly is maybe one of the best books I’ve read in a long time, if not ever.
Honestly I don’t think I could say anything negative about it, and I tried. Hugely high praise and I’ll be recommending it to as many people as will listen to me.
