This is How You Lose the Time War by Max Gladstone, Amal El-Mohtar
3.0
Basically what everyone else is saying: this is an epistolary novel about the love of two time travelling agents. Hope you like reading love letters because this is what it’s all about.
I read it in English for a change. While the writing seemed good (I can’t judge it as English is not my first language), there were occasional references that felt too on the nose for my taste. The style might have been too convoluted at times, but I think I don't mind it.
It’s cute and occasionally moving, but it didn’t really work for me, but I don’t know why it didn’t work for me. Maybe it wasn’t the right time for it.
P.S: I too read the book because of Bigolas Dickolas’ tweet.
