I knew I’d adore this book the second I started reading it. There was an immediate charm and calmness which I felt, and I fell in love straight away. This is a story of love, loss, and friendship.

It’s such a beautiful, sad, but warmly funny story of one man and his cat, and my heart broke as the story progressed and we found out more and more about Satoru and his life, as he sought out friends from his past.

I loved that it was narrated by a cat, and Nana’s personality is instantly likeable. He’s the perfect picture of what I imagined a cat’s voice and character to be.

I really couldn’t have loved this more and highly, highly recommend!
