Feathers and Flame by N.B. Snook

3.0

Wow, what a read.
(3.5 is my rating but you can’t add half stars)

I’m first going to start off saying I honestly forgot what genre this ARC copy fell under. I’m a fast reader, all genres so i joined quite a few and was utterly surprised at how fast I fell for the story.

Feathers and Flames is a urban romance book, and to me was very intriguing. Everything flowed nicely, nothing felt dragged and nothing felt rushed. I was honestly wanting more.
It follows Thora as she works to figure out who she is, what she means to the conduit community while finding out answers about her past she buried deep. She’s also learning to live in a community that nobody knows exists.

I do wish that Snook would have given us more between The main characters Kieran and Thora. I felt like there was so much more potential to make it more romantic but the story in itself is a good book.
I also wish more was divulged about Kieran since we learn so much in depth about Thora.

‘Wolf finishes cutting the fabric off Kieran’s shirt and pulls it off of him, leaving his bare chest exposed. If circumstances where different, I might have found myself focused on the chiseled lines of the muscles in his arms and along his torso, but I can’t look away from the tattoo just below his left shoulder.’

‘Kierans mouth moves. I don’t hear the words, and I’m pretty sure he didn’t speak them aloud, for they where only meant for me. ‘Trust me’ and I do’

I’m very excited to see where she takes the next book, it does end on a cliffhanger. Everything flows together nicely.
If you’re looking for a new interesting witchy read defiantly checkout this book!
