This book is the third I've read from this author, Prequel, and the others, Drift and Blowout make a strong case for Maddow being one of the most brilliant writers of current events and recent history working today. Reading one of her books is like listening to your smartest, funniest friend's newest hyper-fixation, you learn a lot but it doesn't feel like work. You laugh at times but come away never doubting the seriousness of the material or it's dire implications for our future.
