Through the Woods by E.M. Carroll

5.0

I'm already tempted to read this again tonight. It was that good. Carroll's short, ghastly stories taste of Angela Carter's The Bloody Chamber with a dash of Henry Selick's imagery. I read this in one sitting, listening to music by Bruno Coulais at full volume, and I was utterly immersed. An absolutely beautiful romance between prose and artwork that you can't resist falling absolutely in love with.
