Blew my mind.
I cannot even fathom how someone can write book so close to historical legitimacy, while still making it "fantasy". The mixture feels so effortless and homogeneous. My heart hurts knowing the reality, but it is what makes this book so breathtaking.
R.F. Kuang is a literal genius.
