This book reminds me of the part of being trans where you have one gender for the general public, the public-facing gender for work etc. and then the secret true gender for trans folks only because it's completely incomprehensible to explain to a cisgender person without about 6 hours of discussion time.  It's written to a transgender audience, not the cisgender eye. 10/10, very transgender (transmasc).
