Damnable Grace by Tillie Cole
5.0
"I breathed. He breathed. We kissed. Broke apart. The damned souls who together found grace.”
Where to even begin with this book and how deeply it burrowed its way into my heart. I feel like the further I delve into this series the more it breaks me, the more painful the stories become. This book was an emotional rollercoaster about two broken souls who didn't realize together they became whole.
“I am forever thankful for the day you tied me to that tree. It was the first act of grace I had ever been given. And as I stared into your eyes, I saw myself. My reflection looking back at me . . . my wounded soul.”
AK and Phebe have both been through unthinkable tragedies trying to find solace in their lives. But before they can have peace they will walk through hell one last time and it's not an easy road, it will be a bumpy journey filled with pain, heartbreak, forgiveness and redemption.
“I watched you, wondering why you portray yourself as two people. Then I believe I found the answer—because you wish to find happiness in the shoes you fill now. Not the shoes you once wore. The ones that caused you pain, blistering both your feet and heart . . . for good.”
If you want a dark, MC romance that will have you clutching your Kindle from the intense storyline, the anticipation of what's to come and heart-stopping twists then this is definitely a book you need to read!
