this story speaks to the power of friendship and found family, the lifelong and debilitating effects of trauma and the reality that sometimes people do not fully heal.
the prose was breath-taking and the slow reveals were so well done. also some fantastic character work.
PLEASE check cw. i cannot recommend this book due to the heavy content matter. this book is dark. do not read it because you want to see "how bad could it possibly be?" please just check them.
