The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo by Stieg Larsson

Weirdly unsatisfied. The structure and pacing of this book is unusual, not in a good way. I didn’t like the characters at the start but they either grew on me or changed slightly as the book progressed. Too many plot lines just kind of ended. What was the point? Some of the more shocking events just used as what? Characterization? Insight into Lisbeth? Back and forth with Cecilia? Who cares, I guess. Whatever. I’m a very surface-level reader but even I was able to figure who the guilty party was around chapter 4. An accomplishment for my inattentive self or a detriment to the author? Who cares! Too much of this book to me seemed pointless. Last third of the book was dull. It seemed tacked on. I’m frustrated because parts of this book were really great.
