I've been on my hockey romance kick for a hot minute, and so I have been making my way through the Off-Campus series by Elle Kennedy. The Mistake is #2 in the series and follows Logan, Garrett's best friend from The Deal, and Grace, a freshman who Logan falls in love with. Honestly, I found it very hard to care about Logan and Grace. I didn't quite buy the retcon that Logan wasn't very into Hannah, which we saw a bit of in The Deal, and also most of Logan and Grace's problems are due to miscommunication, which I always find deeply irritating. Logan was trying to be open and honest with Grace, and she threw a temper tantrum and ghosted him for months. I'm not usually on the guy's side, but babe, it's okay that he had a thing for someone else. Logan completing her ridiculous list was fun, but the novel sort of lost steam for me after that. I'm gonna finish this series because I already have all of the books, and I heard that the next couple, Allie and Dean, are amazing.
