This was so fun! Definitely could have used more world-building and character development - the plot felt rushed in many ways. However, this may be because I have been deep in a Sanderson hole, so any book less than 1300 pages feels underdeveloped. Also, I had to keep reminding myself this is YA and therefore a different caliber. So, all in all, 3.5 stars! A fun piratey dragony adventure that’s explores Pacific Islander mythology. I enjoyed it!
