My fifth H.G.  Wells I think I can officially say one of my favorite authors.  I love that no matter how to shop his stories are you are never left underwhelmed or feeling short-changed.  This story is very short a slice of life of a visit to a 'genuine magic shop' but it is packed with atmosphere and you are left with feelings of disquiet and joy at the same time.  That along with the descriptive narrative and the sweet relationship between father and son are the strengths of this. Well worth your time!
