The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue by V.E. Schwab
5.0
I completely understand why this book was talked about so much after it came out. It's a practically perfectly novel that tells the story of an amazing life, blending romance, the supernatural, history, and truly human relationships all into one great read.
I loved Addie as a character. You were able to experience her growth, her pain, and the great moments in her life. The entire premise is equal parts heartbreaking and inspiring. It was so easy to get lost in Addie's world - rather in the history of our world with Addie throughout it.
Schwab definitely makes you feel for the characters and easily makes you invested in their trajectory throughout the story. I already know I'm going to want to re-read this one later.
Oh, and I didn’t know three simple words like “I remember you” could make me tear up - but they did.
