I have enjoyed this series and was excited to see Asher's story. In the other books, we got glimpses of him as a well liked hockey player. This love story is between Asher and his best friend, Maeve, who also happens to be his hockey teammate's sister. 

Maeve wins an auction with a date with Asher and goes to Vegas and of course...gets married. The end up keeping up with the marriage to help each other and of course sees each other in a new light. The banter between them is great and I love how they both resisted each other. The slow burn is so good. 

I love that this book addresses some mental health issues and also the support friends. It was great seeing characters from the series as well. 

The duet narration of Vanessa Edwin and Robert Hatchet brought the romance to life.
