 Vacation Wars - Meghan Quinn

“But once the love happens, the commitment happens, and once the commitment happens, that’s when you sign all the papers saying you’re soulmates until death."

This book was a swing & a MISS for me. It gave me the 'ick' for lack of a better word. The humor was just not for me & I feel like I should have figured that out in the first couple of pages where they refer to the male love interest as 'the bulge' about a million times. 🤢 I really thought... or I hoped there would be more character development.

Overall, there was way too much going on & no substance. This book is cute in a world where objectification is romantic. It will not deter me from Meghan Quinn, I know she's capable of amazing writing. Cough cough, Runaway Groomsman. I think the main issue with Vacation Wars is that I did not relate to ANY of the characters & couldn't find a favorite to root for. The almost end was also infuriating. 🙃

Side note, i have to say that I was not a fan of the narrator for Myles. The way that he said Tessa's lines was like nails on a chalkboard for me. I tried not to factor this in to my rating 😅
