Reread on audio: The female characters were voiced perfectly. I had a bit more of a disconnect from the male characters, which is odd because I love this narrator's deep voice. I think just a few lines weren't delivered the way I expected. And the Boston accent was over the top. And there seemed to be some issues of the recording being clipped - which seemed to happen mostly on the Gray parts. I had to rewind at one point because I thought maybe my phone was having an issue. But no. I enjoyed this book more as a read than a listen.

What I did enjoy, now that I’ve read some of this authors other books, is the teasers for the bourbon series. And now I am even more intrigued by the “guy from Montreal”

Loved this so much. I didn’t even know I needed this mystical version of a Hallmark movie. The atmosphere, aesthetic and vibe was so unique. I could picture it all in my mind, aided by the beautiful cover art.

The tension between Gray and Aurora just snapped from the very beginning. So delicious - and not just the frosting!! They just couldn’t help but flirt with each other and indulged in the instant connection. Gray was so determined to be a grump and dwell on his misery, but it all went out the window as soon as he saw aurora.

I have a thing for lighthouses. If for that reason alone I’d love this story. And all the crystals, herbs, tea and palm reading, and star gazing. The harbour being decorated. All of it! I felt like Aurora was living my dream.
