Dear Vicky by Octavia Grant
dark
funny
4.0
Andrew suffers from “erotomania” and is completely smitten by Vicky’s simple gesture. From that moment, they go together real bad…she just doesn’t know it. And he refuses to let anyone get between him and “the love of [his] life.” This was my first read from Octavia Grant but won’t be the last. If out of pocket was a person, it would be her. After the scene with Andrew’s mother, I realized her writing was highly satirical and was then able to sit back and enjoy it. It’s giving high school creative writing class in the best possible way.
Graphic: Blood, Stalking, and Murder
Moderate: Violence and Death of parent
Minor: Infidelity, Sexual content, and Suicide
