The Surgeon's Daughter by Audrey Blake
4.0
A great sequel in the series. I found it a very empowering book to read during Women’s month. The story picks up in Italy, a year and a half after the first book. The book takes us through a test of Nora’s faith and confidence in herself, and the confidence she can put in other women. This book has themes of medicine, women empowering women, and women saying they have the right to choose their own options.
If you’re looking for a “smash the patriarchy, but in the 1800s“ this is the perfect book for that vibe.
