I'm always going to gush over anything SJ Tilly writes and this book is no exception. I think Hans and Nero are tied for my favorites out of this series, I just love them both so much. As for Cassie, she's a total badass. She made every decision I've ever hoped the FMCs would make when I read books like this. She is amazing in all her own ways, and I loved her relationship with Hans. The epilogues turned me into a pile of mush.

I think what I loved most about this book is that there was no miscommunication trope. There wasn't even the "Blah I'm an awful man so I'm not going to tell her the things." trope and I think that's what I loved the most about this book. The characters were 100% in it together, no holds barred. I also enjoyed seeing the characters from the Alliance pop up in this book, it was kind of unexpected how that played out, but I'm so happy for the way it went.

I would definitely recommend this series to fans of mafia romances.
