Black Sun by Rebecca Roanhorse

5.0

My requirements for handing out 5 star ratings are that the plot has to keep me guessing, the writing has to be at the level of something I can imagine being seen as a classic work someday, and the characters have to make me really feel something. This book was remarkably engaging, and the audiobook narrators really knocked it out of the park. I love the diversity and depth of the characters and their cultures, the way their stories intersect, each of their distinctive narrative styles, and the way the larger plot is revealed slowly over the course of the book. The only thing I'm disappointed about is the sequel isn't available yet. I can't wait for it!
