I loved this book. It was the perfect humorous, cozy mystery and also perfect for summer. I really loved every minute of it! The writing was amazing - it was so funny, fast paced and I loved the addition of the footnotes. It was told in a very direct to reader way with a lot of fourth wall breaks was which was a lot of fun. I also loved that we were following an author and all the book related talk. It definitely reminded me of Everyone In My Family Has Killed Someone and it’s sequel which I didn’t mind at all because I loved those books too. Eleanor was such a good character and I loved following her. She was flawed, self aware and honestly relatable. The other characters were also really well written: Connor was insufferable, Harper was sweet and Oliver was a great guy. I’m not usually an enjoyer of romance but Eleanor and Oliver… I loved them so much. I was really rooting for them throughout the whole book. The sibling relationship between Harper and Eleanor was nice to explore. The dynamic between Connor and basically everyone was hilarious and I definitely understood why everyone had motives to kill him. The plot was really enjoyable and I loved trying to work it all out. It was very much a classic murder mystery plot and I guessed parts of the reveal but not all of it! The reveal was amazing and I really liked how everything came together and was explained to us. The epilogue! That cliffhanger… I cannot wait until the next book!
