I decided to read this book in the cousins war series first as I looked up it was best to read them in a chronological order rather than a publication order. I loved this book, I loved the hints of magic, the fiery nature of the queen, the intelligence and cunning of the female leads and the relationships between characters which Gregory always does so well.
I know nothing about this time period in England and love learning little parts through these novels to help get an idea of who is who. Obviously it’s historical fiction but still very much enjoyed.
